Red Stag & Fallow Stag The rut or roar begins around March 17th and continues to the end of April/ early May, (depending on the season). We hunt Red stag, Elk, Fallow, Rams, feral goats and Boar on our private 4000 acre game estate. Accommodation is in our new, luxury Hunting lodge, and is situated within the estate.
Tahr & Chamois The rut begins May and goes through to early July. This is when they are in their full winter coats. We hunt Tahr and Chamois successfully from April through to September. There are two options for hunting Tahr and Chamois. Either on foot or we use the helicopter to fly through the mountains to locate the Tahr where you will be dropped off with your guide to stalk and secure your trophy. In New Zealand it is legal to fly and hunt on the same day. Our exclusive concessions to hunt Tahr and Chamois cover several hundred thousand acres of the Southern Alps on the South Island. This allows our hunters to shoot magnificent big old Bull Tahr and Chamois. If you wish to hunt “Free & Wild”, we advise you to plan on 5 days hunting, minimum, operating out of tent camps or mountain hunts. This type of hunt requires a good level of fitness.
